Hope and laughter uniting joyfully!
Saturday 31st October 2009, Awasa, Southern Ethiopia: Finn Glendon, Robin Graham and World Laughter Master Belachew Girma relaunched the World Laughter Pledge at the Ethiopia National Laughter Day celebrations. 1000 people from all parts of Ethiopian life came together to enjoy laughter for peace and joy, and for enabling social change: the elderly, people living with HIV, people with disabilities, children and university students, athletes, politicians, the homeless including street children, and other townsfolk.

Relaunching the World Laughter Pledge DAILY!
After a year growing and experimenting with times of day, we will relaunch the World Laughter Pledge as a DAILY LAUGH.
We invite you to laugh, sometimes alone and sometimes with others, as a way of starting your morning!
If we start the day with a laugh, our day will have more smiles.
The physiological changes will occur, helping us feel happier, more able to deal with challenges, and also boost our health.
We have heard from people in almost 40 countries who are laughing with the pledge. Now is the time to make this grow!
Thank you to those who have joined us in our first year! Now lets continue to spread the joy and peace around the world.

Launching the World Laughter Wave 9am every Saturday
For 2009, we invite people to laugh at 9am local time wherever they are, every Saturday, and we will send a laughter wave around the world!
Anyone can join in, on their own or with other people. Chuckle for seconds or minutes!
We are making a list of at least one person in each country who pledges to join in every Saturday: if you'd like to be the named person in your country, email robin@writelaugh.co.uk
We want at least 25 countries by April 1st! (Until then we are also laughing at 1pm GMT!)
