On Tuesday 20th September 2016 we are relaunching the World Laughter Pledge.

We will send an everlasting wave of laughter around the world. Sign up and start every day with a laugh - joyfully or grudgingly or sleepily or moodily or however we feel - for a few seconds or longer, and make a connection which represents our inner nature of joyfulness and love.

We can change this world with laughter.
We can cross this world with laughter.

Go Dave Berman! Go World Laughter Master Belachew Girma! Go Robin Graham! Everyone lets go! Go ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ha. Haha.

ETHIOPIA UPDATE - shortened tour for 2014

This year in Ethiopia the plans have changed a little.  Because of the feedback we have received, this year the tour will be just two days.  Instead people have asked us to plan for a tour next year, giving more planning time for people who would love to see this amazing country.

Here are the plans of World Laughter Master Belachew Girma for this year's laughter for peace celebrations in Addis Ababa.

WLM Belachew is inviting people from around the world to build together a vision for peace through laughter for the next generations.

There are two key dates:

• 30th October – World Laughter Pledge international conference
• 31st October – Ethiopia National Laughter Day, bringing together thousands of schoolchildren and community leaders to celebrate laughter.

There is then a laughter tour of southern Ethiopia.

Dear Laughter Visitor

Your arrival should be on October 29th Wednesday.  October 30th is the World Laughter Pledge 1^1st International Meeting, and October 31^st is Ethiopian National Laughter Day.  These will be in Addis Ababa.

The 3^rd Ethio Laughter tour starts on Saturday 1^st November, and over 8 days it visits the historical and tourist sites of southern Ethiopia, returning to Addis Ababa on 8^th November.

We have already presented on July 3^rd 2014 in the National Theater to the Culture and Tourism minister, H.E. Mr. Amin Abdurkadir, and to Deputy Ministers of Culture and all the tourism family about the 1^st and 2^nd Ethio laughter tours which are unique in the tourism history of Ethiopia.  The special welcome of the communities we have visited and the group spirit with laughter of all the people on the tour makes for very loving and fine memories.

The good news is the Ethiopian Air lines had set a discount for tourist related activity at 40%.

Typically for a tour in southern Ethiopia, a tourist can pay a minimum of 300 USD per day, but ours is part of our vision to bring more laughter to all human beings and at least focus on cost sharing.  So our package for 8 days is 1,700 USD which is 212 USD per day, including tourist fees.

The World Laughter Pledge meeting is free from any payment, and t-shirt and participant tags, food and expenses during the day are expected to be covered by sponsors. We hope more international media will be involved.  2-3 research papers are expected to be presented on laughter benefits and spreading mechanisms.

World Laughter Day in Delhi with Dr Santosh

World Laughter Day was celebrated with more than 2000 people in Japanese Park Rohini, Delhi at 6.30am! Attendees included members of the Delhi Laughter Club, their families and friends, and morning walkers! Dr Santosh Sahi delivered Dr Kataria's message of World Peace and Brotherhood.

UK LAUGHTER FESTIVAL & CHAMPIONSHIPS - Manchester 2012

Dr Santosh writes: I celebrated World Laughter Day 2010 in Leh, Ladakh (Boarder of India and Tibet). Here are a few photos. Ethiopia National Laughter Day 2010

We celebrated this year in Nazret, central Ethiopia, just east of Addis Ababa.

We were treated to a speech from the South African consul, and visit from laughter facilitator Sarah and her son Ciaras (who is 14) from Scotland.

I took 10 days of Laughter Yoga sessions with NCC Cadets in Jamia Malia University in Delhi, it was a wonderful experience and would like to share some photos,

Saturday 31st October 2009, Awasa, Southern Ethiopia: Finn Glendon, Robin Graham and World Laughter Master Belachew Girma relaunched the World Laughter Pledge at the Ethiopia National Laughter Day celebrations. 1000 people from all parts of Ethiopian life came together to enjoy laughter for peace and joy, and for enabling social change: the elderly, people living with HIV, people with disabilities, children and university students, athletes, politicians, the homeless including street children, and other townsfolk.
